Bird & Knoll's mood elevating resort wear injects escapism and romantic sensibility into vacation style.
The genesis of a love of travel, fashion and soft natural textiles. Macayla Chapman and Natalie Knoll launched their eponymous brand in 2014 with a signature line of luxury scarves using the softest cashmere, silks and cottons as the “canvas” for their artistic photographic narratives of global destinations.
With a focus on quality natural fibres rendered into a relaxed flow of flattering silhouettes, the design duo draw on their antipodean lifestyles to create a colourful offering of sophisticated and wearable pieces that take the wearer effortlessly from balmy vacations to everyday.
Collections are designed to flow easily from the beach, to lunch with friends, to sunset cocktails and beyond – feminine luxury with multi-tasking functionality.
This season is the recognition of a collective desire of a dressed-up way of life fused with a considered nod to elegant functionality.
A purposeful curation of classic, re-imagined, new and considered silhouettes are saturated in opulent colours with the familiar romantic flourishes.
A colour palette evocative of spring languorously blossoming into summer accompanied by signature fabrications like the brand’s signature cottons.
To be ourselves.
To explore and play again.
To linger over and relish treasured moments in an uncomplicated way.
This season sees an intoxicating infusion of summer vignettes - memories of cherry-stained lips, sun-kissed shoulders and salt-tinged skin whimsically translated into an intuitive embrace of effortlessly fluid layers, organic shapes and artisanal details.
In collaboration with New Zealand artist Lucy Gill, this collection features an exclusive bold and sumptuous print.
Titled Arcadian Oasis - it portrays wide open spaces filled with botanic elements, translucent luminous strokes of fresh pale blue floating alongside opaque petals of gentle rose, hand painted tulips and cascading sand forms.
Of a playful vacation state-of-mind.
Inspired by wanderlust and designed to flow.
